Randal M. Fukuda, who was born on January 13, 1954, in Honolulu, HI, and passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in South Bend, IN, lived a life marked by steady devotion, quiet strength, and deep love for his family.
He was the beloved son of the late Ernest and Rose (Osaka) Fukuda. Randal grew up with the values of hard work, respect, and perseverance, and those qualities remained with him throughout his life. He was a high school graduate and went on to build a career working on an oil refinery, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to doing his job well.
Randal was a devoted father and grandfather whose greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his daughter, Kristina L. Charpentier of Lexington, KY; his son, Jeff (Angela) Fukuda of Hilo, HI; and two cherished grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Karen Hines. He was preceded in death by his brother, Karl Fukuda. His presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Those who remember Randal will recall a man of quiet character and enduring kindness. He valued simple joys, meaningful conversation, and time spent with family. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to his family and friends.
