Remi J. VanBuskirk

Remi James VanBuskirk, 56, of Plymouth, IN, passed away at 8pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in Memorial Hospital.

Remi was born on March 27, 1966 in South Bend to the late James VanBuskirk and Roberta Jeanne Livengood. Remi was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Betty Livengood.

On May 23, 1992, Remi married his soulmate Jackie (Raymond). She survives along with step daughters, Rachel Downhour, Nicole (Joe) Jacobs, and daughter Haley VanBuskirk; son Nathan (Adriana Rodrigues) VanBuskirk; grandchildren, Olivia, Grayson, and Remi VanBuskirk; sisters, Shari (Marcus) McNeill, and Marla (Jim) Timm; his beloved nieces and nephews Amber McNeill, Bethany (Cory) McNeill, Dustin Timm, Erica Longley, Cody Timm, Joshua McNeill, and Shelby Low and dear friends, Kevin and Debbie Lastuck.

Remi was a Scrub Tech at Memorial Hospital for the Cardiology unit for many years before, becoming a driver for Well Cargo for 6 years before moving on to working at Bettcher Trucking until August of 2020 when he was diagnosed with terminal renal cancer.

Remi loved his job at Bettcher Trucking and enjoyed all the friends he had made along the way that had become like family. He also enjoyed his freetime being outdoors, listening to rock and roll music, and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be from 1-3pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Palmer Funeral Home - Lakeville Complex 601 N. Michigan St. Lakeville, IN 46536. A Funeral Service will begin at 3pm in the Funeral Home.
