Richard Lee Buck

Richard Lee Buck, 82, of Elkhart, IN., passed away on February 1, 2026. He was born on September 22, 1943 in Mishawaka to the late Harold Buck Sr. and Hattie Hale. He had 7 siblings, brothers; Mike Buck, Dale Buck, Lonnie Buck and Harold Buck Jr., sisters: Linda Buck, Francis Sandefur, Gloria Olinger, Melody Borror and Betty Hale. Richard is survived by his daughter; Bonnie Buck of Elkhart, son Harold (Leslie) Buck of South Carolina, son, Wayne Buck of Niles, daughter, Shelley (Jake) Overholt of Niles. Grandchildren; Joshua Buck of Elkhart, Jonny (Danielle) Overholt of Niles, Brande (Nick) Overholt of Niles. Great grandchildren; Sadie and Calvin. Richard worked at Domore in Elkhart for 24 years as a welder. He served in the U.S. Marines. He loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids. He loved going to the fair, fishing, amusement parks, country concerts with his “Buddy” grandkid Joshua and daughter Bonnie. He loved to play euchre with the rest of his family. He sent money to St. Jude’s Children Hospital for 30 years. For any donations please send to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Send flowers to his daughter Bonnie Buck.
