Rita E. (Falkowski) Wojcik, 84, of Plymouth passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday August 3, 2026, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver, just 2 days shy of her 85th birthday.
Rita was born on August 5, 1941, in Chicago, IL to the late Michael and Natalie (Wrobel) Falkowski.
Rita married Aloysius Wojcik on February 9, 1963 in Chicago, sharing 54 years together before his passing in 2017. Together they had 7 children - Rita was a loving and caring wife and mother. Rita worked for Ancilla grading eggs. Also, she worked for many years at the Catherine Kasper Home in the Food service Department.
Rita is survived by her children; Mark (Theresa) Wojcik, David (Ann) Wojcik, Beverly (Jeff) Lawson,Karen Gibbons, Gary (Suzie Smith) Wojcik, Joyce (Mike)Poskin and Erica Borys. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 4 great-Grandchildren, her siblings; Joanne Orlikowski, Pat (Jerry) Platt, Barbara Navarro, Eugene (Patty Gutowski) Falkowski, Michael (Luann) Falkowski and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson, Brandon Wojcik, and her daughter in-law Sandy Wojcik.
Visitation for Rita will be held from 4pm - 7pm on Sunday August 9, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Plymouth Chapel, 300 W. Madison St. Plymouth. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Monday August 10, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 612 N. Walnut St. Plymouth. Friends are welcome to visit with the family starting at 1pm at the church until the memorial service begins. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Rita’s name, to St. Michael Catholic School, Plymouth Indiana or Riverbend Cancer Services, South Bend Indiana or to the Parkinsons Foundation, Miami Florida.
