Robert Ray Collins, 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 12 2026 at Silver Birch in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born July 13, 1949 to Henry Clay and Charles Ray Collins, (both of whom preceded him in death), in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. Robert will be greatly missed.
Robert married Linda Carol Calloway on October 18, 1969 in Cassopolis, MI. who passed away July2, 2019. He is survived by his two sons, Robert Jr. (Jackie) Collins, and their daughter Madeline (Henri) DeJesus, and Andre (Katie) Collins and their two sons Kaleb Collins, and Christian Collins. Robert’s siblings were: Geraldine Thomas, Roosevelt Ross, Barbara Wilson, Peter Ross, Henry Collins Jr., Rose Evans, Carl Collins, Betty Wardlow, Deborah Moragne, Randy Collins, Nannett Collins, Karen Means, Eric Collins, and Lori Collins.
Surviving siblings are: Geraldine Thomas, Rose Evans, Betty Wardlow, Karen Means, Eric Collins, and Lori Collins.
As a certified welder, Robert was a hard-working provider for his family for decades until his retirement. He and his wife Linda were devoted and faithful long- time members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses until their passing.
Robert was a devoted family man and was always recognized as someone with a cheerful, positive energy and wonderful sense of humor. Most everyone who knew him say they remember him always wearing a smile. He had a deep love for his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were sports, photography, fishing, playing guitar and dabbling in all things electronic. He was a beautiful blessing to all who knew him and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, June 6, 2026, 1:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2431 Filbert Road, Mishawaka, Indiana.
