Robert Zolton Erdelyi Sr.

Robert Zoltan Erdelyi Sr., 80, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at his home.  He was born on December 31, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Zoltan A. and Julia I. (Bickel) Erdelyi.

He was a lifetime resident of the area and worked as a Journeyman Tile Mechanic before retiring.

Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Jean (Merrill) Erdelyi; sons, Timothy R. (Rebecca) Erdelyi of Bristow, Virigina, and Robert Z. (Lori) Erdelyi Jr. of Valparaiso, Indiana; grandchildren, Allison G. Erdelyi and Julia B. Erdelyi; sisters, Mary Ann (James) Murphy of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, Madeline (Craig) Smith, Carolyn Kuhn, and Cynthia Fletcher all of Elkhart, Indiana.

Funeral Services for Robert will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 31, 2023 at Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, IN 46635 with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
