Robert Kirk Hildebrand, Sr.

Robert K. Hildebrand, Sr, 60, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home.

Robert was born on May 6, 1959 in South Bend, Indiana to the late William Jack and Florence Marie (Oblenis) Hildebrand, and has been a lifelong resident of this area, graduating from Riley High School.  Robert worked for many years in the Maintenance Department at St. Francis Convent, Mishawaka.

On June 14, 1983 in Portage, Indiana he was united in marriage to Denise L. (Edwards) Hildebrand, who survives.  He is also survived by their two sons, Robert Kirk (Kerin) Hildebrand, Jr., and Jerry David (Kristin) Hildebrand, both of South Bend; his brother, Jerry (Peggy) Hildebrand of Richmond, VA;  and “Bob’s Little Buddy” Aiden Pennington.  His brother, Craig Hildebrand has preceded in him death.

A gathering celebrating  Robert’s life will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home, Guisinger Chapel 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614.  Private burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.  Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society of North Central Indiana, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family on this webpage (www.palmerfuneralhomes.com).
