Robin Fowkes Obituary

Robin Joyce Fowkes passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 in Mishawaka, IN. Born October 29, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA, Robin’s journey was full of adventure, joy, and kindness. Her humor and zest for life touched everyone she met.

The daughter of Norma (Lutton) Fowkes and the late Raymond Fowkes, Robin was a guiding light in her family. She was admired by her parents, loved deeply by her children, Jane (Javonn) Fowkes and Alexander Fowkes, and revered as a beloved sister to Renee (Ross) Leidy, Raymond Fowkes, Randall Fowkes, and Ross (LeaAnne) Fowkes. Her warmth and wisdom will also be greatly missed by her adoring nieces, Tabitha (John) Zorosak, and Alida Leidy, who will cherish their memories of Aunt Robin’s kindness forever.

Robin's life was one of achievement and passion. She graduated from Franklin Regional High School in Pennsylvania in 1970 and went on to build an impressive 33-year career with Frito Lay as a saleswoman and trainer. Her outstanding performance and relentless work ethic earned her the title of Saleswoman of the Year multiple times, a testament to her professional excellence and the high regard in which she was held by her colleagues.

Apart from her professional accomplishments, Robin had a rich life filled with diverse interests that reflected her enthusiastic spirit. Her radiant smile was most often seen when she was gardening, maintaining both her own garden and the corner garden of her HOA for many years.

One of Robin’s favorite things to do was getting to help other people, often saying, “As long as God gives me another day, it’s my job to make someone else’s day better.” She maintained that feeling throughout her 13 year cancer battle and did her part to spread kindness and joy every day.

Robin was a self-proclaimed “Beacon girl”often showing her love for her Beacon nurses and doctors. She was also very active with her support of others battling cancer, being a member of the Gyna-Girls (Riverbend) and attending her Tuesday morning Yoga class with her friends.

Robin was a lifelong Steelers fan, having their merchandise all over her house, her car, and even her rooms during hospital visits. She and her son, Alexander, saw two Steelers games together, including one at the home stadium.

She will be tremendously missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Beacon Cancer Center - Memorial or a charity of your choice.
