Roger Alan Lawson

Roger Alan Lawson, 79 years old, of North Liberty, passed away at 9:26 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his home with his longtime lady friend, Catherine, by his side. 

Roger was born on April 15, 1941 in North Liberty and had been a lifelong resident. 

In September of 1967, Roger and Diana were united in marriage. 

His wife, Diana preceded him in death on April 15, 2015. 

Roger was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Lawson.

Roger had been a mechanic for over fifty years.  He worked on everything from John Deere Tractors to military jet aircraft.  Roger was a volunteer fireman in Portage Township for 15 years and was a beekeeper for 66 years. 

He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lawson, and two grandsons, Stephen Mejer and Andy Lawson.  

He is also survived by his longtime lady friend, Catherine Dash.

Per Roger’s wishes, there will be no services.  Palmer Funeral Home, North Liberty is assisting with the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Roger Lawson may be donated to Riley Hospital for Children, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN  46202-5109.  Online condolences may be offered at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
