Roger David Rice

Roger David Rice, 78, of Osceola (formerly of Lakeville) passed away on Saturday October 15, 2022 at Elkhart Hospital. 

Roger was born on November 26, 1943 in South Bend to the late Benjamin and Verena (Zimmerman) Rice.

Roger met the love of his life Pamela Sue and they were married on November 26, 1988.  They spent 25 years together before her passing in 2014. 

Together they had 7 children. They include Cindi Michelle Rice of Osceola, Devan Levine of Kingsford Heights, Becky Rice of Elkhart, Traci Rice of Ohio, Roger (Kristy) Rice of Elkhart, Christopher Rice of Kentucky, and Matthew Rice of South Bend.

Roger worked in excavation for many years before owning and operating R&P Specialties in Lakeville.

Roger leaves behind his 7 children and 24 grandchildren.  Also surviving is one sister; Bonnie Kelley of Lakeville and two brothers; Doug Rice and Jeff Rice, both of Walkerton.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pamela Sue Rice, sister Sandy Annis, and brother Ben Rice.

A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. of Wednesday October 19, 2022 at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
