Roger E. Riddle, 82, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday February 15, 2026, at his sons’ home.
Roger was born on April 3, 1943, in South Bend to the late Raymond and Avis (Halloway) Riddle.
After High School Roger went on to work as a truck driver, driving everything from milk trucks to gasoline trucks for just over 50 years! Retired from Standard Forwarding.
On August 22, 1964, he married the love of his life, Carol Harmon, sharing 54 years together before her passing in 2018.
Roger is survived by his children, Jennifer (Andre) Gilbert, Brian (Joy) Riddle, and Craig (Mary) Riddle as well as his grandchildren; Christopher, Raymond, and James and his great-grandchildren, Rayden, Renee, Bradley and Braxton. Also surviving are his brothers, Loren (Candie) Riddle and Larry (Betsy) Riddle.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brother, Devon.
Visitation for Roger will be held from 10am-12pm on Friday February 20, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home inside the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan St. Lakeville. A funeral service will begin at 12pm. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Roger’s name may be made to the Center for Hospice, Lakeville United Methodist Church, or Southlawn United Methodist Church.
