Rosalie Weisser, a vibrant soul and devoted matriarch, passed away leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and deep family devotion.
Born on March 18, 1944, in La Porte, Indiana, Rosalie was the daughter of the late Steven and Lorraine Piasecki. In her youth, her beauty and grace were recognized publicly when she was crowned Miss La Porte County in 1962. Shortly thereafter, in 1963, she met the absolute love of her life, Robert Weisser. The two were wed in 1964 and built a beautiful, enduring life together. Robert and Rosalie would have celebrated 62 years of deep devotion and marriage this May 30th.
Rosalie lived a life completely defined by the love she held for her family. While she truly appreciated the peace of a quiet life at home, those who knew her well remember her as the genuine "talk of the party" the moment she stepped out the door. Her infectious energy, quick wit, and bright spirit made her a light in every single room she entered.
Beyond her local roots, Rosalie had wonderful opportunities to travel the world. She cherished her adventures abroad, with some of her absolute favorite destinations being the romance of Paris and the vibrant culture of Brazil—where she was particularly moved by visiting the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Rita Clem and Patricia Mulligan, as well as her brother-in-law, Al Clem.
Rosalie’s greatest pride and ultimate joy was her family. Her legacy of unconditional love will be forever cherished by her surviving family. Her Devoted husband Robert Weisser, her children Debbi (Darin) Fredrick, Greg (Jessica) Weisser, and Stephanie (Jake) Lewis, he grandchildren Haley Heintschel, Hannah Heintschel, Harrison Heintschel, Heather (Tyler) Ortega, Hayden Heintschel, Avery Lewis, Hadley Lewis and Brandon Mammolenti, and he great-grandchild Senna Ortega.
Rosalie was a woman who adored her family without limit. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her vibrant, worldly spirit will live on forever through the many lives she touched.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Heart to Heart Hospice, especially Nurse Andrea, for her overwhelming care and compassion during this difficult time.
