Rosalie A. Woodcox

Rosalie A. Woodcox, 89, residing in South Bend, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 19, 2021 in her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born October 6, 1932 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ivan & Nellie (Kravets) Sills, and has lived in South Bend most of her life.  On October 28, 1950, at South Side Church of God, South Bend, Rosalie was united in marriage to Dale Edward Woodcox.  Together, they enjoyed 67 years of marriage until his passing on February 21, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Zimmerman and Eileen Chapman.

Mrs Woodcox is survived by her three sons, Steve Woodcox of South Bend; Mark (Francisca) Woodcox of New Carlisle; and Brian (Amy) Woodcox of Bremen, IN; eight grandchildren, Aaron (Ashley) Woodcox, Gloria (Gavin) Hoffman, Christopher, Danielle, and Alyssa Woodcox, Jared, Kaliegh, and Lydia Woodcox; as well as three great-grandchildren, Jayden & Ashten Hoffman, and Weston Sauer; and her sister, Marjorie Rupert of Bremen, IN.

Mrs. Woodcox was a longtime member of South Side Church of God in South Bend.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at South Side Church of God, 7351 U.S. 31 South, South Bend.  Rev. Mary Stephens and Rev. Greg Crump will officiate.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the Church.
