Rose Marie Hurlbut

Rose Marie Hurlbut, 91, residing in Mishawaka, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at her home.

Rose was born on June 15, 1930, to Remi Slos and Clementine (Demaertelaere) Slos, who both preceded her in death.

On May 8, 1948, in Mishawaka, she was united in marriage to Marvin Hurlbut, who preceded her in death on September 9, 2001.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Sharon Balmer of Mishawaka; her son, Bob Hurlbut of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sisters, Marlene (Fred) Matricardi of Phoenix, Arizona and Joann Burns of Columbia City, Indiana; and her brother, David Slos of Bremen, Indiana.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Rose was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Boone.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. June 20, 2022, at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615 with inurnment 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice, 230 W. Catalpa Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
