Rose Helen (Simon) Conard

Rose Helen Conard, 81, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Bell Tower Health & Rehab.

Born on April 17, 1944, in South Bend, Rose was the daughter of Steve Simon and Gizella (Buti) Simon. She spent her life rooted in the local community, where she built lasting friendships and cherished family connections.

Rose worked in telecommunications, spending many years in sales with A-1 Telecom. She was known for her strong work ethic, friendly nature, and her ability to connect with others.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Kiefer (Dan Oles) of South Bend; her grandchildren, Amanda Deal (Ryan Horner) and Kayla Palmer (Aaron); and several great-grandchildren, including Aiden, Violet, Jon, Landon, Madison, and Owen. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Ann (David) Stark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marie Held; and her grandson, David Kiefer III.

Rose enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including playing softball, bowling, and spending time fishing. Above all, she treasured time with her family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Homes, Welsheimer North Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, IN 46635 with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Rose will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the love she shared with those around her.
