Rosemarie Gray (Wartha)

Rosemarie Gray (Wartha), 93, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.

Rosemarie was born on November 29, 1932 in South Bend to the late Stanley and Rose (Nemeth) Gray.

Rosemarie was a State Farm Agent for over 30 years, retiring at 73.  Prior to State Farm she was the administrative assistant to South Bend’s Mayor Jerry Miller,  OC Carmichael, CEO of Associates executive secretary; she began her career at Studebaker’s.

Rosemarie was a feisty, kind, intelligent, loving woman.  She was a wonderful mother to her daughter Lynn, standing by her through all of life’s challenges. They went on great travel adventures together traveling to Italy, Austria, Germany, Hungary, and Hawaii.  They spent many wonderful times in North Carolina with dear friends, Dr. & Mrs Humberto Marti. Shopping, wonderful food and great conversations were a part of these adventures.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Thomas) Brabec of Granger, IN., four grandchildren; Michael (Rachel) Brabec of Niles, MI., Karen Kaser of Colorado Springs, Co., Tommy Brabec of Granger and Vincent (Racheal) Brabec of Jackson, WI., five great grandchildren; Lindy, Elmer, Alice, Declan and Skadi and one brother, Richard Gray of South Bend. Preceding her in death were her parents, sister Millie, brother Gary.

A memorial service will take place on Monday, June 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka with a visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. until service time.
