Rosemary William Toepp was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the first of five children whose parents were Charles Albert and Clementine Piechorowski Williams. She was a resident of South Bend since her family moved here in 1943. She died, surrounded by her husband and many of those who loved her on December 24, 2025.
Mrs. Toepp is survived by her husband of 74 years, Dr. Frank Toepp and their five children: Dr. Kathleen Neuhoff and Ken, and Philip Toepp of South Bend, Steven Toepp and Shawn of Mishawaka, David Toepp and Lauren of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Kevin Toepp of Seattle, Washington. She has 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Susan Taylor of Crofton. Maryland.
Mrs. Toepp was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church, fulfilling many roles such as Eucharistic minister and funeral provider. She also was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for 27 years, as a patient visitor, Area Coordinator, and state trainer for the Reach to Recovery program. She was a member of Christ Child Society, St. Mary's College Alumni Club, North American Bluebird Society, South Bend Audubon Society and Habitat for Humanity. For three years she was a Peer Reviewer for the Congressionally Directed medical Research Programs, reviewing proposals for Breast Cancer Research Funding for major research institutes throughout the country.
Mrs. Toepp was a very loving and giving person with a beautiful soul. She always had positive things to say to and about everyone. We know she is with God.
