Ross Evan Nieboer, 73, of Niles, Michigan, passed away on May 7, 2026, at West Woods of Niles following a stroke.
Ross was born on March 29, 1953, to Earl and Ruth (Koster) Nieboer. He lived most of his life in Niles and proudly owned and operated his business, Nieboer Concrete and Construction, for 40 years. A 1971 graduate of Niles High School, Ross was admired for his craftsmanship and natural talent as a woodworker, which was evident in every piece he made.
Ross loved riding his Harley and spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed working with his Bobcat and was well-known for his unique talent of balancing it on its back wheels—something that always brought a smile to those who watched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ruth, and his eldest sister, Connie Schuiteboer.
Ross is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Mike) Johnson and Michelle (Joe) Greenalch; his grandchildren, Riley, Joseph, Nolan, and Elizabeth; his sister, Barb (Gary) Sherwood; and four nieces.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life for Ross will be on May 31, 2026, from 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm at the American Legion Post 365 in Edwardsburg, MI. 25751 US-12, Edwardsburg, MI 49112.
