Russell E. Dawson Jr., 76, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on April 2, 2026. He was born on August 11, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Russells journey through life was marked by his unwavering love he shared with his late, beloved wife, Linda M Dawson. They were married November 12, 1983 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and an enduring partnership that stood as a testament to their mutual respect and affection.
He is survived by his loving children: daughter Jennifer Eaton of Mishawaka, Indiana; and two sons, Russell (Kasia) Dawson III and David (Rachel) Dawson , both of Illinois. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Sue (Bob) Docker of Alaska, and his brother, Robert (Nancy) Dawson of Connecticut.
Russell loved music, golfing, grilling, and vacationing—especially trips to Hawaii. He was a longtime member of Osceola United Methodist Church and a devoted fan of Notre Dame Women’s Basketball. He also enjoyed spending time with his in-laws Pam Wallace and Steve Vance.
