Ruth Ann (Hoover) Overhulser

Ruth Ann (Hoover) Overhulser, 81, of Osceola, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 16, 1940 in Mishawaka to the late Harvey and Eliza (Smith) Hoover. On February 13, 1960 Ruth was united in marriage to Paul Eugene Overhulser, who preceded her in death on April 18, 2022.

Ruth loved to read and passed that passion on to her children.  She also like to sew and made garments for not only her children as they were growing up, but her grandchildren as well. In her early life she liked to garden and canned what she grew. Ruth also enjoyed doing puzzles whether they were jigsaw, sudoku, or mahjong.

Ruth retired as a Modules Department Coordinator with Crown International.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Zoe (Robert) Burns, Paula (Kenneth) McBrier, Amy Dixon, Beth (Brian) York, and Jane (Doug) Balmer; her son, Paul G. Overhulser; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Betty Brown and Grace Spake. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Eliza; her husband, Paul; and her sisters, Kathryn Moore and Alta Lou Weaver and a son-in-law James Dixon.

Friends may call on the family from 10:00am-12:00pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Services will begin at 12:00pm. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
