Ruthianittia Barnes was born on June 19, 1956 in South Bend, Indiana to Thomas Amos Taylor and Erma Jean Battle. She went home Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 2:24pm, at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Granger, Indiana.
Ruthianittia served 10 faithful years at New Psalmist Missionary Baptist Church in Mishawaka, Indiana. Her love for people and desire to serve resulted in her volunteering in ministries such as the usher board, maintenance staff, and food service. Her favorite scipture was Psalms 121. In addition to serving, Ruthianittia loved to cook and crochet.
She leaves to cherish her memory siblings: Thomas Taylor and Cossetta Taylor, Dwayne Rolland and Darlene Rolland; children: Lavenus Taylor Brush and Christopher Brush, Jeffrey Taylor and Michelle Bambi Young; grandchildren: Kirabo Kanyama, Chinyere Kanyama, and Xavier Brush; nieces: Tiffany Taylor, Angel Rolland and Erica Lee; nephews Vie Rolland, Raymond Rolland and Cashious Rolland; Indiana "GOD" Family: Pastor G. McKeel and Jacqueline McKeel, DaRhonda McKeel, Jakayla McKeel, Amani McKeel, Myren Gildon, Mykel Denson, Dawon Smith, Dawon Smith Jr., Dorothy Avance, Elaine Chase, Myra and Jordan Evins, Evelyn and David Battles and Erica and Will Witherspoon.
Ruthianittia Barnes was preceded in death by her siblings: Ruthie May, Ivy Rolland and Gail Rolland; parents Thomas Amos Taylor and Erma Jean Battle.
