Ryan Stephen Klatt

Ryan Stephen Klatt, age 49, passed away, in Dowagiac, MI, on July 8, 2026. He was born on July 18, 1976, in South Bend, Indiana, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Ryan was the beloved son of Stephen Klatt and Kathleen (Bridges) Klatt. He was a loving father to his only son, Caden Christopher Klatt, and a caring brother to Jason Klatt. Ryan’s family meant a great deal to him, and those who knew Ryan understood that his love for them was sincere and enduring. He took great pride in his son Caden who was extremely important to him throughout his life, and they enjoyed many adventures and good times together as Caden grew up. Among those times were annual family vacations at Gun Lake in Shelbyville Michigan where he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his Gun Lake family, another group that would join his family there each year. In addition to that, Ryan took Caden to join his Father in the outdoors at their remote cabin on the Menominee River in the UP of Michigan every year.

Ryan was a proud graduate of Penn High School, Class of 1994. After completing his education, he built a respected career through 30 years of dedicated service and leadership at Advanced Imaging Solutions in South Bend. Ryan held various positions there until he was promoted to Vice President of Service where he served in that position for many years. He was proud to be on the leadership team and played an integral part in the growth of the business. He spent many years as the Vice President of Service, where he was known for his contributions, commitment, and steady presence. His work ethic and sense of responsibility left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Outside of work, Ryan found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid deer, duck, and turkey hunter and loved to fish whenever he had the opportunity. He especially enjoyed outdoor sports and the time spent in nature that came with that. Ryan was also an avid gun collector and took great interest in the traditions and craftsmanship associated with that hobby. He was an active supporter of Ducks Unlimited, reflecting both his love of hunting and his appreciation for wildlife and conservation.

Ryan was known for his quick wit and often caught his friends and family off guard with his silliness and humor. Some said you never knew what to expect next from him. Ryan found a way to make people laugh, always had a big smile and for that he will always be remembered.

Ryan had a love for many dogs throughout his life. He spent a great deal of time training and caring for his dogs. In recent times, Ryan had a soft spot for his cat, Peanut, who brought him comfort and companionship. Those close to him knew that his affection for Peanut was genuine and that he found happiness in the simple, familiar moments of daily life. Whether he was outdoors, at work, or spending time with those he cared about, Ryan carried himself with a quiet strength and a straightforward spirit.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 pm – 7:30pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Palmer Funeral Home- Bubb chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka.

Memorial contributions may be donated in Ryan’s name to Ducks Unlimited, One Waterfowl Way, Memphis, TN 38120.
