Ryan Michael Skaggs

Ryan Michael Skaggs was born on November 18, 1985. He went to heaven on February 1, 2026. He was a graduate of Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka, IN.

Ryan was energetic and fun loving. He especially loved campfires while gazing at the stars and cooking outdoors with friends. He enjoyed traveling and living life to the fullest. Ryan worked for the United States Postal Service in their Elkhart office.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Suzanne Skaggs of Mentone, IN, and Charles “Mike” Skaggs of South Bend, IN; brother, Shawn Skaggs; step-mother, Katherine Robinson of South Bend; grandmother, Loretta Burnham; uncles, Jim Burnham, Ronald (Joy) Burnham, and Doug (Katie) Burnham, all of Mishawaka; and aunt, Sheila (Jeff) Gordy of Elkhart, IN. Ryan is also survived by his niece, Lily Skaggs, as well as many cousins: Rachael Corpe and Dylan Gordy, both of Elkhart; Matt Burnham, Alicia Burnham; Jessica Burnham; Alley Burnham; Zak Burnham; Jake Burnham; Emily Burnham; Ben Burnham; and Molly Burnham.

Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Skaggs; grandmother, Shirley VanDouser; and maternal grandfather, James Burnham.

A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Willowdale Park Pavillion, 1320 Olive Avenue, Elkhart, IN. Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
