Sandra L. Bartrum, 78, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on November 7, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Lloyd and Opal (Haines) Meyers.
Sandra graduated from Brandywine High School before continuing her education at Vogue Beauty College. She spent most of her life working as a dedicated hairdresser, a profession she loved and one in which she poured her creativity and care into every client she met. One of Sandra's favorite pastimes was attending sporting events, especially when watching her loved ones. She also treasured cheering alongside her sister at Brandywine athletic events, creating memories together while supporting their community. An avid reader, Sandra could often be found with a good book in hand, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her three husbands, Harold VanDusen, Eugene Stark, and Clarence Bartrum. Her sisters Karen Leneway, who Sandra graciously donated a kidney to, Nancy Gwin, and three stepsisters. She is survived by her brother, John Meyers, and his daughters, Angie and Sarah; her sister, Susan (Wayne) Hawkins; her niece, Leslie (Ray) Burdgick, and their son, Christopher (Cooper); her niece, Ashley (Robert) Wentz, and their sons, Ethan and Joel; her aunt, Maddie Haines; step children, Diana (Chuck) Schosker, Pam (Duane) Meyers, and David (Sue) Stark, along with their children, and grandchildren; her best friend, Sandra Ballinger; and her beloved cat, Sam. Sandra will be remembered for her caring nature, her love of family, and the countless memories made cheering from the sidelines, sharing conversations, and making others feel welcome. Her legacy lives on in the many people fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
