Sandra Kay Boyle

Sandra Kay Boyle, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Niles, Michigan. Born on October 13, 1949, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Paul W. and Esther (Fry) Ashcraft, Sandy was the youngest of four children. 

Sandy graduated from Galien High School in 1967 and worked in several fields which included bookkeeping, insurance clerk, bank teller, massage therapist, grocery clerk and “Grandma sitter.”

She married Terry Lee Boyle on October 21, 1967, at Galien United Methodist Church where she was a lifelong member, participating whole heartedly in its activities and services until she was no longer able. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort, guiding her through life’s challenges and joys. She has many friends in her church family whom she cherished. 

Sandy leaves behind her husband, Terry Lee Boyle of Galien; daughter, Roxann (Jim) Urch of Buchanan; grandson, Cody (Heather) Shepherd of Princeton, W.V; great-grandson, Francis Shepherd; Sister, Margaret Rolston of Galien and many nieces & nephews whom she adored. Last but not least, her beloved cat, Lucy. 

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul W. and Esther Ashcraft, brother, Paul Edward Ashcraft and sister, Sarah Joan Redding. Their reunion of eternal rest is a comforting thought for those who knew and loved Sandy. 

In keeping with Sandy’s wishes, cremation will be taking place, and no services are to be held. Memorial contributions in Sandra’s name may be made to Galien Fire Department, 305 Kiley Dr. Galien, MI 49113 or Three Oaks Emergency Vehicle Association, 21 South Elm St. Three Oaks, MI 49128.
