Scott Douglas Krassow

Scott Douglas Krassow, 63, of Niles, Michigan, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Born on June 11, 1963, in Niles, Michigan, to the late Albert & Louise (York) Krassow. Scott spent much of his life in the community he proudly called home where he worked as a welder in the automotive industry. He also worked for Krueger’s Septic Company for 20 years which he took great pride in. 

Scott found joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, gardening, and working in his yard. A devoted classic car enthusiast, he was especially proud of his 1948 Plymouth and enjoyed participating in local car events as a member of the Michiana Cruisers and the Niles Burn Run community. He also enjoyed watching Ghost Adventures and making lasting memories with family and friends.

Scott shared his life with his loving partner, Crystal Melton. Her care, companionship, and unwavering support meant the world to him, and together they built a blended family filled with love.
He is survived by his significant other, Crystal Melton; their children, Tasha (Eddie) Davis; Jason Krassow; Samantha Metz; Cole (Haley DeFreeze) Krassow; and Alexis (Cicone Palmore) Krassow, along with his fifteen cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Julane Linley; his brother, Tom (Christine) Krassow; and many extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply. 

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held. Palmer Funeral Home – Hoven Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
