Scott L. Shreve, 52 years old, passed away peacefully at 5:57 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Scott was born on December 8, 1969 in South Bend and has remained a lifelong resident. On November 15, 1997 in North Liberty, Scott and Roxanne Fisher were united in marriage.
Along with Roxanne, his loving wife, Scott is survived by his three children, Hannah (Garrett Glon) Shreve of Walkerton, Cody (Amy) Shreve of Dayton, OH and Scotty (Lindsette) Shreve of Omaha, NE; four grandchildren, Carter, Sophia, Paden and Oliver; mother, Mary Lesher of South Bend; and three brothers, Jeff (Linda) Shreve of Elkhart, Tim Shreve of Dowagiac, MI; and Larry (Kim) Shreve of Mishawaka; mother-in-law, Juanita Fisher; three sisters-in-law Rhonda(Ken) Shortt, Rachelle (Bill) Warrick, Renee (David) Matz; one brother-in-law Darrin (Cindy) Fisher, and his loving nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Connie Shreve; step-mother, Judith Shreve; step-father, Ronald Lesher; along with his father-in-law, Tom Fisher.
Scott enjoyed watching his children grow through the years and took pride in coaching them in their sports. He enjoyed being outdoors spending time camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He loved to spend his weekends at the South Bend Motor Speedway with his racing friends. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing with them on the farm and watching them in their sporting events. Scott worked with the Carpenters Local Union 413 and dedicated time to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Posse.
He was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville. Pastor Tim Davis will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Porter Rae Cemetery, Potato Creek State Park, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
