Sharon R. (Sobodos) Clark

Sharon R. Clark, of South Bend, passed away with her family at her side on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 76.  She was born on May 29, 1945, an only child to the late Frank and Julia (Nagy) Sobodos in South Bend, where she remained a lifelong resident. 

Sharon worked for 30 years with the University of Notre Dame as an Administrative Assistant in the Physics Department.  On May 2, 1964, in South Bend she was united in marriage to Charles E. Clark who preceded her in death on June 30, 2019.

She was a kind and giving woman who dedicated her life to her family.  She volunteered her time with Logan Industries and worked at the Salvation Army.  She enjoyed travelling and going yearly to Florida with her husband and family, seeing the manatees.  She enjoyed going to sporting events and was an avid Notre Dame fan.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Allen) Knight of South Bend, along with four grandchildren, Kelie, Charles, Justin, Matthew Yoho.

Funeral services for Sharon will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635.  Friends may visit with the family from 12 – 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.  Committal service will immediately follow at the mausoleum within Highland Cemetery.
