Sharon Felix, a beacon of love and thoughtfulness, passed away at 11:10 am on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare - Fountainview Health Center. Born on August 13, 1944, in South Bend, IN, Sharon's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family.
Sharon's journey began as the cherished daughter of Clell and Ruth (Goddard) Livengood, who predeceased her, as did her beloved son, Thomas Felix, and brother, William Livengood.
Her life was enriched when she married her soulmate, Robert Felix, on January 25, 1964. Their union was a partnership of love and mutual respect that was set to celebrate 62 years of marriage in January. A proud mother, Sharon's legacy is carried on through her devoted daughter, Sherri Felix; her sons, Ronald (Kelly Lind) Felix, Andrew (Heather) Felix, and Joseph Felix; and her daughter-in-law, Sue Felix. Her grandchildren, Will, Abby, Maddy, Leanna, Evan, Ethan, and Nicholas, will forever cherish the memories of their grandmother's love and the warmth of her kitchen, where even the famously burnt grilled cheese sandwiches were made with love.
Sharon's life was marked by her dedication to her family and her community. After graduating from Mishawaka High School, she began her career at US Van Lines as a bookkeeper, where she meticulously tracked deliveries. Alongside her husband, she co-owned and managed the Twin Branch Drive-In, before deciding to focus on her most cherished role as a stay-at-home mom. Her home was always open, and she became a beloved babysitter to many children, including her own grandchildren. Sharon's selflessness was evident in her every action, always putting others before herself.
Sharon's love extended beyond her immediate family to a wide circle of friends who will gather to honor her memory from 10-11 am on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN 46615. A Memorial Service will commence at 11 am, celebrating a life lived with grace and generosity.
Sharon will be inurned at Fairview Cemetery at a later date, where she will rest among the town and people she so dearly loved. Her spirit, characterized by loving kindness and thoughtful gestures, will continue to inspire those who knew her. Sharon Felix's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of devotion, care, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
