Sharon Irene Jones, 86, passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 18, 1939, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Harold Bays and Madline (Stafford) Bays. On January 26, 1957, Sharon married the love of her life, Randall W. Jones Sr., in South Bend, Indiana. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion to one another.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Randall W. Jones Sr.; her children, Lynn Joyner of Niles, Michigan, Teri Ann (Charles) Smith of Mishawaka, Indiana, Karen Sue Erickson of Elkhart, Indiana, Thomas (Sue) Jones of South Bend, Indiana, and Randall W. (Carole) Jones Jr. of Elkhart, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marjorie Neuerburg of Edwardsburg, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, James Joyner; her brother-in-law, Ervin Neuerburg; her sister, Barbara (Bruce) Snyder; and her brothers, Bill (Joanne) Bays, Tom (Diane) Bays, and Hank (Gloria) Bays.

Sharon found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved baking for her family, tending to her garden and flowers, and spending time playing euchre with friends and loved ones. Her greatest happiness came from her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and the time spent with family and friends was precious to her. She was a devoted member of Michiana Community Church of God, where her faith was an important part of her life. Sharon especially enjoyed planning holidays and gatherings, creating cherished memories for those around her, and she was a proud and enthusiastic Notre Dame fan.
