Shawn Cecil Holt

Shawn C. Holt passed away in the early morning of June 11, 2022 in his home after a long battle with cancer. He lived in South Bend, Indiana, but was born in Colorado on September 27, 1966.

He was employed at Saylor’s Pizza and also for the South Bend Tribune. He enjoyed fishing and watching Law and Order. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved dogs; his favorite breed was Rottweilers.

He leaves behind his brother, Robert Holt of Aurora, Colorado; and sister, Sam Holt (and her five children) of Delphos, Ohio. He had a family of amazing friends he considered as his family as well. Within this family of friends, he leaves behind his best friend and confidant, Marie Mason, along with her children. He also leaves behind 13 children he considered his grandbabies. They were very attached to their pawpaw and loved dearly by him. 

He was preceded in death of his parents, Cecil and Teresa Holt; and his daughter, Deserae Holt.

Cremation is taking place. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
