Stephanie C. Ricker

Stephanie C. Ricker, 30, of Mishawaka, died Monday January 18, 2021. She was born in Mishawaka on February 16, 1990, the daughter of Christian Ricker and Sherri Ann (Swihart) Reeves. Steph earned her Medical Assistant degree from Ross College and had formerly worked as a Phlebotomist. She was currently employed by Russell Cellular - Verizon Wireless in Mishawaka. Stephanie loved the outdoors & nature, going to the beach, swimming or camping with her children. She was devoted to her friends, family and especially her children & their friends; their home was often a gathering place for many of the neighborhood kids. Steph also had a love for animals, whether it be caring for her own pets or rescuing & sheltering animals in need. Stephanie is survived by her children; daughter, Gianna Jade Grant and sons, Marquis Derrel Burton & Martez Derrel Burton; her mother, Sherri A. (Wayne) Reeves of Fuquay-Varina NC; father, Christian Ricker of Mishawaka; grandmother, Judy Swartzell-Pugh of Mishawaka; grandfather, Richard Swihart of Osceola; brother, David (Ashley) Schmaltz of Muncie; aunt, Amy Lynn (Joseph) Woolet of South Bend and many, many friends. Funeral Services 2:00 Sunday January 24, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. in South Bend. Visitation is from 1-2pm Sunday in the funeral home.
