Steven P. Rice, 64, of North Liberty passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family at his home on Sunday June 7, 2026.
Steven was born on April 25, 1962, in Mishawaka to Thomas Rice and the late Barbara (Feigel) Rice.
Steven married the love of his life, Veronica Trevino on June 4, 1994, sharing 32 years of marriage.
Steven spent many years as a bar tender at Chippewa Bowl and later worked for Metro Beverage. He loved to bowl, play volleyball, and most importantly spent time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a big Purdue fan.
Steven is survived by his wife, Veronica, his sons; Brian (Alexandra) Pemberton, James Pemberton, David (Karissa) Pemberton, David Rice, and Steven Rice as well as his grandchildren; Jason, Claire, Evee, Walee, and Luna. His brothers also survive; John (Susan) Rice, Jim Rice, Dan (Brittany) Rice, and Thomas (Staci Lee) Rice. Many nieces and nephews who he held dear to him also survived along with many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 13, 2025, at the North Liberty Community Center, 300 S. Main St. North Liberty. Friends may come and visit the family between 1pm and 5pm with prayers and memories being shared at 4pm.
