Tamara "Tammy" Sue Youngs

Tamara Sue Youngs, 62 years old, passed away on Friday morning, August 14, 2020 at her home.  Tammy was born on September 24, 1957 in Houston, TX to the late Larry and Marsha (Kling) Roher, Sr.  She has lived in South Bend most of her life.  Tammy retired as a Senior Administrative Assistant at the University of Notre Dame after 44 years.  This was her only job she ever had, starting when she was 16 years old.  On May 6, 1978 in South Bend, Tammy and Brian K. Youngs united in marriage.

Along with her loving husband, Brian, of 42 years, Tammy is survived by her sister, Diana (Paul, Sr.) Singleton of North Liberty; and brothers, Larry (Virginia) Roher, Jr. of Cassopolis, MI and Mark (Beth) Roher of Granger.  Although Tammy never had children of her own, she was a “mother” to all of her nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Penny and John McIntire.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.  Pastor Ron Drake will officiate.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
