Terry E. Hollars

Terry E. Hollars, born on January 26, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana, passed away on June 10, 2026, in the same city he called home throughout his life.

Terry lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a quiet appreciation for the simple things that brought him joy. He was the son of Clyde Hollars and Meri Kay (Kucharski) Bauer, both of whom preceded him in death. Terry was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Hollars. He is survived by his wife, Angie M. Hollars; his daughters, Kaylee Hollars and her husband DK Frater, and Kyler (Kavon Hamilton) Hollars; his son, Ryan Hollars; and his grandchildren, Kalani Hollars and Dontae Frater. He also leaves behind his sisters, Charlene Hollars and her husband Roger, and Judie Ruffner and her husband Dan; and his brothers, Clyde Hollars, Robert Hollars, Randy Hollars and his wife Pat, David Hollars, Larry Hollars and his wife Laura, and Steven Hollars.

Terry carried the values of perseverance and responsibility with him throughout his life. He worked as a painter in the woodworking industry, where his steady hands and dependable nature were appreciated by those who knew him professionally. He took pride in honest work and in doing his part well, and he was respected for the dedication he brought to his trade.

Outside of work, Terry enjoyed a variety of interests that reflected both his competitive spirit and his love of collecting and craftsmanship. He was a devoted Notre Dame fan and followed the team with enthusiasm. He also enjoyed poker and chess, pastimes that suited his thoughtful and strategic mind. Terry was known as a collector of many items, and he found satisfaction in the search for unique pieces and meaningful keepsakes. Wood working was another interest that connected naturally with his career and gave him a creative outlet he valued.

Those who knew Terry will remember him for his presence, his loyalty, and the lasting bonds he formed with family and friends. He was a man who valued connection, and his life was enriched by the relationships he built over the years. His memory will remain with those who loved him, especially his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family, who will continue to carry forward the love and lessons he shared.

Terry E. Hollars will be remembered with affection and respect by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was one of family, work, and personal interests that brought him fulfillment, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Memorial Visitation for Terry will be held Friday, June 26 at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN. from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
