Terry L. Stutzman, 85, of Niles, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026. He was born on May 20, 1940, in Kankakee, Illinois, to the late Harold and Esther (Tatreau) Stutzman.
On June 19, 1976, Terry was united in marriage to Sandra Oliver, and together they shared a life filled with adventure, devotion, and countless memories. Terry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his service, he worked for many years at Valspar Chemical, retiring in 2005.
Terry had a deep love for the outdoors. He and Sandra spent much of their time hunting, fishing, hiking, and taking off for weeks at a time to explore the countryside. He was also an avid gun and knife collector, always appreciating the craftsmanship and history behind each piece. Above all, Terry cherished his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was rarely seen without his loyal companion, his dog Pugsley. To those who knew him, Terry was a steady presence and a wonderful role model.
Terry is survived by his children, Erika (Greg) Richardson, Jody (Robert) Lamberton, Scott (Catherine) Stutzman, and Jeff (Audrea) Stutzman; his grandchildren, Joshua, Savanna, Jacob, and Zachary Stutzman, Justin (Sabrina) Utley, Hanna (DJ) Wolnick, Robert Lamberton IV, Jericho (Sarah) Lamberton, Cortland (Miya) Lamberton; his great-grandchildren, Redick, Ripken, Tatum, Emerson, and Kelsey; and his sister, Margaret (Oliver) Miller. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Stutzman.
A Memorial Service for Terry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Palmer Funeral Home – Hoven Chapel, 414 E. Front St., Buchanan.
