Theophilus Jones

Theophilus Jones, 76, passed away as the result of a tragic accident on the evening of Monday, September 28, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Theophilus was born on January 25, 1944 in Armorel, Arkansas to the late Thurman Jones and Maple (Hannett) Daniel.

Mr. Jones was a resident of South Bend since 2003, having relocated from Arkansas. He was employed as a steel mill laborer, working also in concrete and construction work, for many years until retiring. He most recently was employed through Catholic Services. Mr. Jones was a devoted father, uncle, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Theophilus Jones is survived by his three children: daughters Monique and Theatrice and son Theophilus Jr.; nephew James Jones; three sisters: Almamie Ragland of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Lee (Square) Patterson of Mattapan, Massachusetts and Sheri (Ron) Washington of Shertz, Texas; brother Erlwin Daniel of Blythville, Arkansas; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Theophilus was preceded in death by one brother, Thurman Jones, Jr.

Services for Mr. Theophilus Jones will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Palmer Funeral Homes – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614.
