Tommy Jay Sheldon, 43, of Galien, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2025, in Galien. Born on March 30, 1982, in Berrien Springs, Michigan, Tommy was the son of Crystal Sheldon (Tim Hand) and Pete Wendorf.
Tommy is survived by his most recent wife Rebekah Sheldon; his five children: Michael (Stephanie) Sheldon of Niles, MI; Tommy Sheldon Jr. of Buchanan, MI; Zachary Sheldon of Buchanan, MI; Kaylei Sheldon of Buchanan, MI; and Haylei Sheldon of Buchanan, MI. He is also survived by one grandchild, Michael Sheldon Jr. In addition, he leaves behind his siblings: Maggie (Jackie Morley) Wendorf of Sodus, MI; Carey Wendorf of Bridgman, MI; Patrick Wendorf of Sodus, MI; and Peter (MaKenna) Wendorf of South Bend, IN. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Heather Williams Wendorf, his parents and his grandparents Carl "Butch" (Judy) Sheldon of Galien, MI.
A free spirit with a sharp mind and a huge heart, Tommy was known for his love of gambling, his talent for fixing anything, and his natural ability to solve problems—no matter how big or small. He loved working on cars and embraced the nickname “Mr. Fix It.” Tommy was a hard worker who spent most of his life as a laborer in the asphalt paving industry. He lived life boldly, honestly, and unapologetically, always staying true to who he was and “taking no shit” from anyone.
