Verland "Dale" O'Connor

SOUTH BEND – Verland “Dale” O’Connor, 79, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. 

Dale was born on January 28, 1943 in LaPorte, IN to the late Zella M. and Helen L. (Finch) O’Connor.  He was also preceded in death by two of his sisters, Norma Solmos and Enid Beaudoin; and his five brothers, Lawrence, Bill, Donnie, Harold, and Lester O’Connor. Dale proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran.  He worked as a forklift driver for AM General for 35 Years. 

Dale is survived by his life companion, Larry Stuckey of South Bend; sisters, Dorothy Arnett of North Liberty, Judy (Mike) Granning of Ft. Wayne, and Doris (Dennis) Groves of Plymouth. 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty, IN.
