Virginia A. (Getha) Forte

Virginia Ann Forte, of Mishawaka, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born on March 15, 1937, in Mishawaka to the late John and Lucy Getha. She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and remained a lifelong resident of the area. On January 19, 1957, in Lakeville she was united in marriage to Dennis D. Forte who preceded her in death in 2015. 

Virginia attended Madison Chapel in Wakarusa and enjoyed her time there. She also liked to go shopping and doing craft projects over the years. She loved sunflowers and the smell of lilacs. What meant the most to her was spending time with her kids and grandkids, she knew better than anyone how precious that time was. 

She is survived by her sons, Mark (Sharon R.) Forte of Mishawaka, Dennis (Sharon M.) Forte of Wakarusa, and Deb Harvey of Florida, 7 grandchildren, Tony Forte, Tim Forte, Tommy Forte, Tiffany Adams, Courtney Forte, Morgin French and Cody Stevison, 5 great grandchildren, Lucella, Aiden, Jaeylei, Jordyn, and Elijah. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Minnie, Annie, Mary, and brothers, Chuck, Bill, Johnny, and Fred.

Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. Mishawaka, IN. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
