Wanda J. (Wigginton) Linn, 75, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday February 26, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare in Elkhart with her loved ones and healthcare friends around her.
Wanda was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi on February 15, 1951, to the late Milton Wigginton and Willie Dean (Epps) Moore.
Wanda met and married Kenneth Linn on May 20, 1972, sharing 24 years together before his passing in 1997.
Wanda loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of South Side Baptist Church for many years.
Wanda loved her hat collection, often referring to herself as “the hat lady” and had one to match every outfit. She loved her movies, country and gospel music, and traveling with her friends to many interesting tourist attractions near and far- including her dream trip to Ireland. She cherished time with family and friends and enjoyed going to church, out to eat, playing bingo, and making so many precious memories with those she loved dearly.
Wanda is survived by her sister; Willa Peckham, sister-in-law, Laurie Wigginton, and her close friend; Vicky Bavar. Many dear friends and caregivers at Brickyard Healthcare.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Rick Wigginton.
Visitation for Wanda will be held from 12pm-1pm on Tuesday March 3, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. A funeral service will begin at 1pm. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wanda’s name to South Side Baptist Church.
