William James Dutrieux

William James Dutrieux was born in South Bend, IN, January 28,1950 to Joseph Charles Dutrieux and Marjorie Lois (Emmons) Dutrieux.  He joined older siblings Barbara Charlene and Daniel Charles.  

“Bill” attended school locally graduating from Riley High School and IUSB.  He worked most of his adult life in various aspects of retail sales for several corporations throughout the USA.  He enjoyed watching sports on television especially baseball and football.  He was a huge fan of Notre Dame football.

A very gentle and kind man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dan.  Survivors include Dan’s wife, Vicki Frazier Dutrieux; his children, Lori Ann Wilken (Matt) and their son, Wolfgang, Daniel Jaie Dutrieux (Kelly) and daughters Jasmine and Jailyn, and Christopher Frazier Dutrieux, all of South Bend.  Also, Barbara Lavelle (Thomas) and children Thomas Charles Lavelle (Anne) and children Emma, Sarah, Meghan, and Tommy and Meredith Lavelle Waltenbaugh (Jake) and children Aidan, Brady and Riley, all of the Pittsburgh area.

Bill was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church now St. Matthew’s Cathedral. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew’s Cathedral, 1701 Miami St, South Bend, IN 46613.
