William H. O'Blenis

William “Bill” O’Blenis, 78, of South Bend passed away on Thursday July 9, 2026, at the Center for Hospice-Raclin House.

Bill was born on March 10, 1948, in South Bend to the late Harold and Amy (Rupel) O’Blenis.

On June 1, 1979, he married Nancy Luczkowski (Bahr) and the two have shared a happy and loving 47 years of marriage.

Bill worked as a supervisor for Sibley, Dodge, and Plymouth foundries. He also spent time working with the Northern Indiana Food Bank and driving school bus for SouthBend Community Schools.

Bill loved his time with family and friends he loved attending Living Stone Church and Grace Brethren Church, The connections he made in the churches have been life long.

Bill and Nancy enjoyed many years camping at Jelly Stone Campground. Bill and Nancy enjoyed yearly vacations with dear friends John and Anita. Bill also enjoyed playing softball, golfing, and bowling, and achieved a perfect 300 game. He loved vintage cars and walking around car shows.

Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy, his daughters; Tricia O’Blenis (Tammi) and Jennifer Pellow and his son, Troy Dillon as well as his siblings; Carolyn “Missy” (Jim) Meert and Arnold O’Blenis.(Jackie), Granddaughter’s Megan Pellow(Hayley) Ashley Pellow (Justin) and Great grandson’s Rowan and Aidan.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Matt Bahr, and his brother, Donald O’Blenis.

Visitation for Bill will be held from 4pm-7pm on Wednesday July 15, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. Visitation will also be held from 10am-11am on Thursday July 16. A graveside service will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice or to the Northern Indiana Food Bank.
