William "Bill" J. Paulus, Jr.

William "Bill" Paulus, 80, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2026. He was born on February 16, 1946, to William and Pearl Paulus.

Bill devoted more than 40 years of his career to Dodges before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to his family.

A man of deep and abiding faith, Bill loved the Lord and found great joy in listening to Southern Gospel music. He was also a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan who faithfully cheered on his team through every season. Above all else, Bill treasured the time he spent with his family and the relationships he built throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Paulus; his son, Kevin (Tracy) Paulus; his daughter, Dawn (Alan) Grocke; his sister, Marylou (Terry) Wagner; his grandson, Ethan Clayton; his granddaughter, Elisha Clayton; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Paulus and Pearl Rouch; his stepfather, Marion Rouch; his brothers, Jerry and Jim Paulus; his sister, Nancy Thomas; and his stepsons, Brian and Jeff Clayton.

Bill will be remembered for his steadfast faith, gentle spirit, quiet strength, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends whose lives he touched, and the faith that guided him throughout his life.

Though he will be deeply missed, his loved ones find comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.

Visitation for Bill will be on Thursday, July 30 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka where funeral services will take place on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation also from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
