Wynnelle Ann Vaughn, age 69, of South Bend, IN passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at her home. Wynnelle was born on September 29, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana to Russell Gay and Cora Belle (Chaffee) Holy who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by two sisters: Bonnie Glaspie and Ruscella “Rusty” Carter.
On March 20, 1989. in South Bend, she married Frederick J. “Fred” Vaughn who survives. She is also survived by her children: Brandon J. (Jessie Caudill) Vaughn of South Bend, Tara Lynn (Lance Herman) Grabowski of Mishawaka, Daniel Vaughn of Mishawaka, Amy Marie (Kevin Fakes) Vaughn of LaPaz, IN, Todd A. (Jackie) Grauel of Batavia, IL, Dawn Elain (Frank) Borton of N. Liberty, IN, Ally Marie Urbanski of Mishawaka. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bransden M.J. Vaughn, Caidence M. Vaughn, Tyden C. Caudill, Koltin Herman, Megan M. Musser, Nathan M. Vaughn, Tyra & Hailey Fakes, Liam, Seth & Culle Grauel, Howard, Kendra, Clay, and Elaina Borton, and Kaleb Fannon, greatgrandchildren: Aubrey & Everlee, Luke & Amelia, and Xiamara & Camila. Wynnelle’s siblings: Betty (Allen) Gearhart and Dennis Wilson both of Mishawaka, stepmother, Donna I. Gay of Mishawaka and an aunt, Betty Carter of Elkhart also survive her.
Wynnelle enjoyed gardening and spending time around her backyard pond. She enjoyed crafts, animals and loving her time spent with family-especially her grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Wynnelle will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Homes – Welsheimer North Chapel. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00pm – 6:00pm prior to the service. Cremation has taken place and the burial of her ashes will take place at a later date at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend.
