Xavier Brown-Douglas Obituary

Mr. Xavier D. Brown-Douglas, departed this life on April 2, 2026. Born on November 28, 2001, in South Bend, Indiana, he brought joy, laughter, and love to his parents, grandparents and extended family.

Xavier graduated from Washington High School. He briefly attended the University of St. Francis until he decided he wanted to serve his country. He proudly served in the Army Reserve National Guard, embodying strength, discipline, and honor. Yet beyond his service, Xavier was a gentle giant, someone who loved deeply, laughed freely, and carried a brilliance that shined through his conversations and perspective on life. Last year, Xavier enrolled back in college and was pursuing his licensure in HVAC and Electrician work. He saw that as an opportunity to venture into entrepreneurship and real estate.

Xavier Derryl Brown-Douglas was a loving, compassionate, and selfless soul whose presence left a lasting imprint on everyone he encountered. Known for his big heart and giving spirit, Xavier consistently put others before himself, offering support, kindness, and even shelter to those in need.

Above all, Xavier’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and impact. He lived a life that reflected what it truly means to care for others wholeheartedly. Xavier was more than a son, brother, or friend. He was a light in the lives of everyone who knew him.

Xavier had a beautiful spirit and a heart for family, faith, music, weightlifting, boxing, and playing Dragon Ball Z. Whether it was talking politics, religion, life strategies, or gaming, Xavier made people feel seen, valued, and loved.

Xavier leaves to cherish his memory: his mother Ramiah Brown-Williams, stepfather Cory L. Williams of South Bend, Father, Derryl Douglas Jr., step-mother, Candice Douglas, grandparents George (Lorett) Brown, Candy Evans; and great grandmother Louise Douglas. He is also survived by his siblings: Breonna Williams and Brandon Williams, of South Bend and Khaliya Douglas, Derryl J. Douglas III, Kendall Douglas, Derryl D. Douglas IV of Georgia, three special uncles, Anthony Douglas, Sheldon Brown and Sergio Dickerson-Brown; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends. Xavier is united in rest with his grandfather, Derryl Douglas Sr., and great-grandparents, Alvin (Annis) Dickerson, George (Helen) Brown, and Irene Duke. He leaves behind a family that loved him deeply and will continue to carry his spirit forward.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Xavier D. Brown-Douglas will never be forgotten, but forever loved.
