Cameron Wilson Obituary

Cameron Gregory Wilson, 25, of South Bend, was born to the union of Crystal and Gregory Wilson.

Cameron attended South Bend Community Schools, graduating from John Adams High School in June of 2014. Cameron was an avid baseball player, starting at Southside Little League, becoming a part of the Newton Park Knockouts traveling team and playing for John Adams High School baseball team. Cameron was a dedicated player and learned several positions over 12 years.

Cameron was also a hardworking young man and leader, working for Bonnell Aluminum for almost 5 years. Cameron was a dedicated son to his father’s care during his final years, a job he cherished the most. Cameron was especially loving to his mother, sisters and niece, as he would text his mom daily and ask, “how’s work my love”.

Cameron was a very laid-back, loving and caring person with his family, but around his brothers for life the turn up was most definitely real and comedy. He enjoyed music, money, dressing, shoes and trying to dance as he swore, he was “YO GOTTI” and grooving. Anyone that knew Cameron know he was for sure a jewel that will surely be missed by all.

Cameron leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Crystal Wilson; siblings Jasmine (Abdul) Lewis, D’Anndra (Delacey) Lewis, Gregory (Brittany) Wilson; the true love of his life, Ana Rodriguez; Kevin (Azailyah)Williams, Dareen Diggins of South Bend; aunts Charon Wilson of Indianapolis, IN, Tracey Bass, Deborah (Joe Mobley) both of South Bend; uncles Frank James of Columbia, SC, Donald (Joyce) Turner, Joseph Harden, Farrell T (Deborah) Wilson of South Bend; nieces De’Aubrey Lee, Addison Wilson, Olivia Wilson; nephew Quinn Wilson; and god son Jayce Williams of South Bend; as well as his bonus grandmother, Frances Harden of South Bend, IN; his best friends and brothers: DaQuan Williams, Erik Ellis, D.J Hubbard, DeMarcus Johnson; along with a host of family and friends.

Cameron is preceded in death by his father, Gregory Wilson; paternal grandparents Farrell T. (Rose Carothers) Wilson; maternal grandparents Frank (Alice) Bass.

Cameron and his father Greg had a very special relationship and bond with each other over sports and motorcycles. It was one of love, trust, friendship and guidance. Cameron was the son, sibling, cousin, nephew, brother and uncle that any family would’ve totally admired having. This obituary would never end with all the things we could go on to say about Cameron, but one thing for sure is he will be greatly missed by all.
