Josephine Oberlie Obituary

Josephine Ann “Josie” Oberlie, 34 weeks of gestation, was stillborn on Monday, April 13, 2026 as the result of Triploidy diagnosis at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. 

Josephine is survived by her parents, Andrew and Anna Oberlie; maternal grandparents, Scott and Debbie Kirkpatrick; paternal grandparents, Brian and Judy Oberlie; maternal great grandparents, Kathryn Cseh and Diane Kirkpatrick; paternal great grandparents, Robert and Mary Steif and Charles and Rita Oberlie.  Josepine is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Abby (fiancé: Kamden Betzer) Kirkpatrick, Brianne and Tyler Woods, and Christopher Oberlie. 

Josephine was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfathers, John Cseh and John Kirkpatrick, and her paternal great grandmother, Frances Oberlie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.
