Lawrence E. Williams

Lawrence “Larry” E. Williams, Sr., 66, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation in South Bend, IN. He was born on April 15, 1954 in Mishawaka, IN, to Byron and Melba “Genevia” (Snyder) Williams, both of whom preceded him in death.

On August 5, 1972 in South Bend, Larry married the former Deborah Pendergrass, who preceded him in death on August 11, 2017.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Carrie E. (Adam Stoutjesdyk) Williams of Mishawaka, IN; son, Lawrence Williams, Jr., of South Bend; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Delma Williams of Hamilton, OH; and brothers, Aaron Williams and Fred Williams, both of Ohio. In addition to his parents and wife, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara L Brown, as well as his sister, Sarah Williams.

Larry was a lifelong resident of the Mishawaka/South Bend area. He was previously employed in a lumber yard for eight years, and then as a delivery person for an auto parts supplier for twelve years.

A private memorial service will be held for Larry at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel in South Bend, IN. Pastor Ronald Drake of Forestbrook Missionary Church will officiate. Larry’ ashes will be interred at a later date at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.
