Marie L. (Whitaker) Kryder

Marie L. (Whitaker) Kryder, 75, of North Liberty passed away on Sunday April 21, 2024 at her home.

Marie was born in South Bend on September 28, 1948 to the late Lewis and Wanda (Bloomer) Whitaker. 

After graduation Marie worked for Teacher Credit Union as a Teller and for Notre Dame Credit Union and Farm Bureau Insurance, retiring in 2011.

Marie met and married Tom Kryder on July 9, 1994. 

Marie was a member of the North Liberty Church of Christ and a member of the North Liberty VFW Auxiliary.

Marie is survived by her husband; Tom Kryder, her step children Shanyn (Dan) Green, Tommy (Julie) Kryder, and Gary (Amy) Newcomb, her sisters; LuAnn (Darwin) Beron, Kathy (Roger) Kiefer, and Julie (Bart) Clark. Also surviving is her grandson; Nakai Green.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her son; James Haskins.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Tuesday April 30th,  with gathering 1 hour prior at Palmer Funeral Home, North Liberty

Marie will be laid to rest with her son at Southlawn Cemetery immediately following memorial  service.
